The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of design and fabrication, ensuring prototypes meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements while collaborating closely with engineers and cross-functional teams.</p><p><strong>Overview of the Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This role will play a key role in developing innovative medical devices by transforming early design concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready components. This hands-on position combines machining, CAD/CAM design, and 3D printing expertise with problem-solving skills to accelerate product development in a fast-paced startup environment.</p><p><strong>Who You&rsquo;ll Work With&nbsp;</strong></p><p>You will report to the Engineering Manager while working closely with project engineers and cross-functional teams.</p><p><strong>Major Accountabilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Contributes to product designs based on defined customer needs, including adapting existing designs for new applications, from early sketches to detailed engineering drawings.</li><li>Construct and test prototypes, components, and assemblies under real-world operating conditions to evaluate design concepts, improve performance, and generate data for development and quality control.</li><li>Diagnose technical issues and recommend solutions, including design modifications, material substitutions, or component reconfigurations.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze and interpret test results against design specifications and make necessary design or equipment adjustments.</li><li>Lead the fabrication of prototypes that meet both customer and internal requirements.</li><li>Support the transition of new products into manufacturing, ensuring cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and high-quality standards.</li><li>Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.</li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design, prototyping, and manufacturing alignment.&nbsp;</li><li>Organizes and schedules events and resources to ensure all deadlines are met.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Machine Tool Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience in a design and fabrication role.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Minimum of 5 years related work experience&nbsp;</strong></li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Proficiency in manual machining (lathe, mill, grinder) and familiarity with CNC programming and operation.</strong></li><li>Strong CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks) for design and prototyping.</li><li>Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS), including machine operation, material selection, and post-processing.</li><li>Understanding GD&amp;T, material properties (metals, plastics, composites), and standard manufacturing practices.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving ability with a hands-on, iterative approach to design and build cycles.</li><li>Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Effective communicator with engineers, technicians, and cross-disciplinary stakeholders.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Who We Are &amp; What We Do</strong></p><p>Boehringer Laboratories, LLC is a US based Medica Device Manufacturer with it&rsquo;s Corporate Headquarters located in Phoenixville, PA. &nbsp; We serve the Acute Care Hospital Market in the US and across the Globe. &nbsp;We have strong product lines in Minimally Invasive Surgery and the Medical Gas spaces. &nbsp; We have a continuous process to grow the company by finding novel devices that improve patient care. &nbsp;</p><p>We seek to make world-class products that improve patients&rsquo; lives. &nbsp;We are dedicated to improving our skills to serve our customers, community, and each other. &nbsp; We are a team of professionals passionate in our work. &nbsp;Our Mission: Caring for Lives through Innovation, Quality, and Service. &nbsp;To learn more about our company, visit <a href=\"http://www.boehringerlabs.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.boehringerlabs.com</a> .&nbsp;</p><p>We provide an environment that fosters professional growth while offering an excellent wage and benefits package, including a 401(k) with employer match.&nbsp;</p></div></div></div>\n",
