These values guide every aspect of our work and contribute to high levels of employee happiness that results in superior customer service to our client’s time and again.<br><br>CQS has an exciting opportunity for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Building Automation System Electrician</span> to join our team to support the implementation of building automation systems for multiple clients in the Washington, DC Metro Area and some other parts of the country.  This position has a 90-day introductory period.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Responsibilities and Duties:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Electrical installation of Floor Level, Mechanical Room Level, Plant Level, Roof Level BAS applications</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Install, wire, and terminate controllers, and instrumentation devices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Install and bend conduit, wiring and cabling systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Laying out work to support a successful BAS installation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform troubleshooting methods given multiple constraints including project time requirements, lack of documentation from a site, or incomplete installation by others prior to CQS work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work around other trades to install your work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Manage time effectively as a team player reporting directly to the BAS Electrical Foreman.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be punctual to support teammates and lead successful project delivery. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Produce clear, concise, and comprehensive written/electronic reports detailing the status, work performed, deficiencies noted, and corrective actions to the BAS Electrical Foreman.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, team members, behavior, and appearance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work safely at all times.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work Hours:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Monday through Friday. Start times vary between 6am and 7am. (Depending on project schedule). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">A normal workday is 8 work hours. A normal workweek is 40 work hours. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Some projects or tasks may require Overtime hours on nights or weekends as required to meet project schedule.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Job Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Has at least 5 years of work experience in the installation of BAS.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">A journeyman's electrical license (or higher) is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">High school or equivalent (Preferred).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Capable of using basic hand and trade specific tools necessary to perform required work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Experience in hardware verification preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and system manuals and BAS submittal drawings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be knowledgeable in HVAC and electrical equipment and apparatus that are controlled (directly and indirectly) by the DDC system.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate working knowledge of automatic temperature controls implementation and theory, building automation systems best practices, and other building subsystem metering requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must work independently with little or no supervision while providing guidance to other team members.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to be attentive and responsive to client concerns while communicating with CQS management for full team responses.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time and technical constraints.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to establish effective collaborative working relationships across different functional areas.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must possess a high level of ownership, enthusiasm, and a collaborative, professional temperament.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to pass a stringent Government background check, reference check and a drug screening.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Possess and maintain a valid state issued motor vehicle license with a clean driving record as required by the company’s insurance carrier to qualify to operate a company vehicle (if eligible).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
