If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Essential Function: Supervises staff in performance of technical duties including decontamination, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and reprocessing of reusable patient care items.</li>\n <li>Essential Function: Assists with inventory maintenance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies, supporting safe and efficient patient care.</li>\n <li>Essential Function: Follows regulatory governing standards and practices for HLD/sterilization, ensuring safe processing, handling, transport, and storage of patient care instrumentation.</li>\n <li>Describe Essential Function: Performs secretary/clerical functions.</li>\n <li>Describe Essential Function: Follows regulatory and industry standards ensuring maintenance of a safe environment while promoting efficiency of operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience Experience in OR sterile processing or Central Sterile reprocessing</li>\n <li>Certified Registered Central Service Technician</li>\n <li>One of the following: Certified Instrument Specialist, Certified Healthcare Leader, Certified Endoscope Reprocessor required upon hire</li>\n <li>Employees must obtain Certified Instrument Specialist or equivalent within 730 days</li>\n <li>Employees must obtain Certified Healthcare Leader or equivalent within 730 days</li>\n <li>Employees must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor or equivalent within 730 days</li>\n <li>Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required Upon Hire</li>\n <li>Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Endoscope Reprocesser (CER) within 2 years of hire Required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits at Children's Mercy</h2>\n<p>The benefits plans at Children’s Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
