          "text": "<p><strong>Summary </strong></p><p>Builds, repairs and maintains metal equipment and structures of various sizes. Performs tasks involving design and labor for all types of concrete-related construction projects.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities </strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members.</li><li>Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.</li><li>Wears appropriate PPE, which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection.</li><li>Uses proper lifting and ergo techniques.</li><li>Reads work orders or receives oral instructions to determine work assignments, material or equipment.</li><li>Works under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods. Follows detailed job specific instructions to ensure processes and procedures are followed in an efficient and productive manner.</li><li>Operated metal fabrication equipment in compliance with proper operating procedures using MIG, TIG, ARC welding processes.</li><li>Cuts and joins metal components using various tools including TIG welder, MIG welder, plasma cutter, chop saw oxyacetylene torch, and hand grinder.</li><li>Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications.</li><li>Produces a variety of parts to specifications from shop drawings.</li><li>Determines proper set up of tooling and jigs.</li><li>Positions, aligns, fits, and welds parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches and tools.</li><li>Fabricates components for engineering specification using engineering drawings, measuring devices, calculators, etc.</li><li>Designs and creates holding jigs that aid in the proper fabrication of parts to met basic production requirements.</li><li>Builds, erects, and aligns forms for various concrete structures and foundations.</li><li>Estimates concrete quantities, appropriate mixes of sand and cement if hand mixed.</li><li>Prepares sites by grading and building and forms to shape structures.</li><li>Aligns forms for structures patches voids, and uses saws to cut expansion joints.</li><li>Performs duties of cutting and placing reinforcing wire mesh, and brushing in accordance with specifications.</li><li>Records production, repair, and machine maintenance information.</li><li>Works with the team to reduce / eliminate bottlenecks to reach team goals.&#xa0;</li><li>Works on continuous improvement projects.</li><li>Records problems that occur and analyzes root cause and recommends actions to be taken.</li><li>Proactively promotes The McWane Way Principles.</li></ul>",
