The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.</em></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position Functions and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<li>Understands and promotes Elizabeth Seton Children’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure application with organizational policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Organize and coordinate pool schedule in conjunction with schedules of classrooms and other therapies </li>\n<li>Transport patients to and from classrooms for the purpose of receiving therapy </li>\n<li>Record and maintain daily statistical logs for pool and modalities</li>\n<li>Assist patient in donning and doffing of swimwear incorporating therapeutic dressing techniques prior to and after aquatic session including assistance with showering </li>\n<li>Assist therapist during treatment in the pool under the direct supervision and instruction of registered occupational, physical therapist, or speech therapist when requested. </li>\n<li>Assist therapist in the pool as required and instructed</li>\n<li>Perform maintenance and upkeep of the pool area including:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Disinfect pool toys on a daily basis</li>\n <li>Rinse bathing suits after every use on a daily basis</li>\n <li>Place towels in designated areas (clean and dirty) after use</li>\n</ul>\n<li>Maintain a supply list for the pool area and complete purchase requisitions as directed by the Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy to maintain par levels of supplies</li>\n<li>Perform other responsibilities in the physical, speech and occupational therapy departments as assigned when not engaged in aquatic therapy program duties such as:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist supervising physical, speech and occupational therapist in treatment of patients in the therapy gym</li>\n <li>Participate in scheduled in-service training programs and weekly meetings</li>\n <li>Sanitize toys, treatment equipment and/or modality equipment as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>10.  Perform clerical for the Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy departments as needed</p>\n<p>11. Comply with established ESCR, Inc. policies and procedures re: quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments etc.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Educational & License Requirements: </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma Required. </li>\n <li>Training and/or academic credit in the field of biological sciences and child development.</li>\n <li>Must maintain current CPR certification.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in clinical pediatric environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Employee Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to take direction and supervision from a registered physical or occupational therapist, or speech Language Pathologist. Appropriate verbal communication skills to maintain ongoing and professional interactions with patient’s families and staff</li>\n <li>Must meet or exceed all general health standards and requirements for the position as established by employer in compliance with NYSDOH and other regulatory agencies if appropriate</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift, carry, transfer and position patients in therapeutic equipment on static and movable surfaces. </li>\n <li>Must be able to stand and move both on land and in the aquatic environment</li>\n <li>Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients as necessary</li>\n <li>Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 35 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Working Conditions:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Therapeutic Aquatic Center Pool, Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapy gymnasiums and classrooms including working at tables, on floor mats, vestibular stimulation equipment and on static and moveable surfaces.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Hourly Rate Range:</strong></p>\n<p>$21.12/hr. To $22.74/hr.</p>\n<p> </p>",
