font-weight: bold\">The Opportunity</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">As the Data Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the data engineering team, defining the technical strategy, and ensuring the successful design and implementation of tools and infrastructure that allow internal and external stakeholders to access data-based insights to drive decision-making in our business and to meet the needs of our customers.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Lead projects in the design, development and maintenance of core data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, pipelines and integrations.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Define the long-term technical roadmap and architecture for the company’s data platform.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Lead projects in the design, development and implementation of data models to be robust foundations enabling educational and business insights.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise the performance of data infrastructure and tools, including databases, automated analytics jobs, pipelines and integrations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop and improve functionality in the company’s products that collects data in the product application, including usage tracking.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership and coaching to the data engineering team, assisting them in their professional growth and development.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work closely with software engineers to understand and communicate requirements for usage data collection in the company’s products</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work closely with data analysts to understand and negotiate requirements for data infrastructure and tools, and provide high-quality data.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Drive the implementation and advancement of best practices and coding standards for data engineering processes and workflows.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the data engineering infrastructure and capabilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Take ownership of the data tech stack, ensuring optimal performance and integration of key tools including Hex, ClickHouse Cloud, ClickPipes, BigQuery, dbt, CockroachDB, and Kafka.</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br><br></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Bring</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">At least seven years’ experience in a technical discipline including programming experience, with at least two years in a leadership or team lead role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proven team leadership, mentorship, and people management skills to guide and support data engineering team members.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Exemplary software practice, including writing clear code, problem decomposition, and source control using Git</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A strong ability to distil project requirements from stakeholder requests, breaking them down into smaller components to facilitate defining clear specifications and deliverables</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Extensive expertise in databases, data pipelines, and other data tools and infrastructure, specifically within our data tech stack: Hex, ClickHouse Cloud, ClickPipes, BigQuery, dbt, CockroachDB, Kafka, and Google Cloud Platform.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Advanced proficiency in SQL</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to learn and work with APIs of third-party software systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Constant attention to detail for data security, integrity and quality</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills related to data engineering challenges</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to the long-term data vision of the business</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;
