If you share our commitment to these values and want to join a team that lives them every day, Root Center might be the perfect fit for you!</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary</strong>:</p><p>Responsible for the coordination of all medical services and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the residential program, consistent with policies and procedures of the Root Center for Advanced Recovery, CARF, Primary Care standards and CT-DPH regulations. &nbsp;The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to the residents and ensuring their overall well-being.</p><p><strong>Hourly Rate: $39.50</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong>:</p><ul><li>Assess patients and their medical records for appropriateness of admission into residential program; Perform a nursing assessment on all patients as part of the intake process</li><li>Consults with outside patient providers and treatment programs</li><li>Carries out provider orders within scope of practice, including medical administration and treatment</li><li>Oversight of patient medication management</li><li>Work within and multidisciplinary team to develop patient treatment plans</li><li>Assists with discharge planning</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Facilitate client education groups</li></ul><ul><li>Provides education to patients and their families</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Acts as a resource for crisis intervention</li></ul><ul><li>Works with clinical team and provider to address any patient medical or behavioral issues that may arise during inpatient treatment</li><li>Perform a nursing assessment upon any change in patient condition</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records</li><li>Assist Program manager with oversight of technicians</li><li>Provides on-call coverage for consultations and emergency services</li><li>May be asked to perform other duties not outside scope of practice to ensure operational stability of facility</li><li>Transport patients safely in agency vehicle from facility to appointments and other venues on an as needed basis.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications/Skills Required</strong>:</p><p>Current active license in the State of Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of nursing experience and demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with patients within the scope of this rehabilitation program. &nbsp;BSN degree preferred. &nbsp;Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or is actively pursuing credentialing) is preferred. &nbsp;Adult CPR/AED or BLS certification must be obtained and maintained within the initial 6 months of employment.
