This culture carries into the pride we take in our work and in the communities, we operate in.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Ignition SCADA Developer </strong>will be responsible for Inductive Automation Ignition application development, Python scripting, system support, and long-term platform ownership. The ideal candidate is a strong developer who enjoys building scalable applications, maintaining production systems, and serving as a technical owner for Ignition across the organization.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains the Ignition SCADA platform, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.</li>\n <li> Develops, configures, and supports Ignition projects, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Perspective and/or Vision screens</li>\n   <li>Tags and UDTs</li>\n   <li>Alarms, historical data, and reports</li>\n   <li>Troubleshoots application-level issues and provides technical support to resolve operational challenges.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Manages Ignition upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery, including participation in redundancy and failover testing.</li>\n <li> Supports and maintains Ignition gateway configurations, security roles, and user access.</li>\n <li> Configure and test communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet and MQTT</li>\n <li> Communicate effectively and proactively to teams on any concerns, problems, or technical discussions that impact the project.</li>\n <li>Follow best-practices and guidelines for developing intelligent UDT’s for an Ignition system</li>\n <li>Participate in system testing and validation activities, including pre-production testing and post-deployment support.</li>\n <li> Investigates, evaluates, and recommends software enhancements, system configurations, or platform improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and usability of the Ignition environment.</li>\n <li> Identifies opportunities to leverage Ignition automation, scripting, and visualization capabilities to add value to business and operational processes.</li>\n <li> Collaborates with internal teams to troubleshoot data, application, or performance issues impacting Ignition systems and dashboards.</li>\n <li> Creates and maintains technical documentation, standards, and procedures related to Ignition development and support.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of application and project structures, data modeling concepts, visualization tools, and scripting or programming languages.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required</p></li>\n <li><p>Must adhere to good programming practices, including clean code, documentation, and structured testing</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience should focus on SCADA application development, design, and/or operations using Inductive Automation Ignition or another industrial SCADA platform</p></li>\n <li><p>Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including security concepts and communication protocols</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven experience with at least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred)</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience and familiarity with Ignition project structure, tag architecture, and visualization components (Perspective and/or Vision)</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience creating and maintaining UDTs and reusable templates driven by structured data models</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience developing data-driven screens and dashboards using standardized templates and attributes</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience implementing and supporting Ignition alarming, historical data, and reporting features.</p></li>\n <li><p>Certified with Ignition 8.0 or greater</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Qualifications  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with languages (VBScript/Java/C#) and understanding database nomenclature.
