Description Hospital Security Account Manager - Full Time Primary Location: Grand Forks, ND Wage: $28.00/HR FLSA: Exempt Job Summary: Manages the security services and related operations provided to an assigned account including client service and problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, operational effectiveness, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training . Implement and oversee the security operation; supervise security officers and supervisors. Assist with the functions of physical and personal security and safety measures of members, patients, staff, and visitors. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may enforce regulations pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Distinguishing Characteristics: Primarily performs exempt duties in a service capacity; may be assigned a service grade or rank in a chain of command in conformance with contract requirements or to facilitate the delivery of service according to business necessity. Does not perform Security Officer duties except on a limited, relief or emergency basis Essential Functions: The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job or position. Fulfill the Responsibilities, Qualifications, Competencies, and applicable Addenda of a Security Officer and Supervisor. 2. Act in the absence of the District Manager when directed. 3. Assist the District Manager in administrative or functional tasks as directed, including processing payroll. 4. Interpret applicable policies and procedures based on existing circumstances. 5. Supervise subordinates so they perform their functions effectively. 6. Assign security duties as circumstances warrant. 7. Evaluate and document subordinate’s performance. 8. Review and oversee corrections to appropriate subordinate’s reports. 9. Maintain liaison with appropriate facility personnel on a given shift. 10. Assist with subordinates training. 11. Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned post. 12. Quickly identify potential negative situations and implement effective countermeasures. 13. Teach facility-specific procedures and policies. 14. Review appropriate subordinate’s reports. 15. Meets or exceeds annual or bi-annual clinical/employee reporting requirements. 16. Minimum Qualifications At Entry: Prefer 1 year of Securitas security experience or previous management experience in a service field. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the security, or related field; with a minimum of 1 year at supervisory or managerial level. Must have the ability to plan, organize, and implement administrative and operational programs and procedures, which includes the development of budgets. Must have knowledge of and have experience with core infrastructure and entry security systems and its related issues or problems. Position Requirements: 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of responsible experience in the security industry and/or business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, training, and/or experience in safety, fire protection, civil disturbance, emergency preparedness procedures and planning, CPR/AED, Security and Safety issues and standards as set forth by healthcare regulatory agencies is preferred. Above average computer / technology skills needed. Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed. Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Must have great attention to detail. All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Must have a reliable means of communication. Must have a reliable means of transportation. Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Driver Certification. Licensure Or Certifications: Must have valid Government issued Driver’s License or valid state issued I.D. card, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Certification or Guard Card. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as police reports, local and state law, instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write accurate, clear and concise crime, incident and investigative reports. Ability to communicate effectively with client, patients, medical staff, employees and visitors. Competencies ( as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing ): Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures. Pass each security competency exam and/or skills lab including and managing or defusing assaultive behavior training program or similar course as described by the client. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to be an effective team member. Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances. Courteous telephone manner. Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization. Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports. Good organizational skills. Ability to provide high quality customer service. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures. Working Conditions (Physical / Mental Demands: With or without reasonable accommodation, a candidate must have the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions described.
