We <em><strong>enable</strong></em> pharmacy <em>care</em>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><em><strong>A successful candidate must demonstrate mastery of the following skills/traits:</strong></em> <em>Attention to detail, multi-tasking, initiative to work independently as well as cooperatively on a high achieving team, ability to develop problem-based solutions when faced with unexpected challenges, availability to work any shift, an openness to and acceptance of constructive feedback, and a sincere desire for continuous professional growth.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.</li>\n <li>Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, if applicable.</li>\n <li>Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.</li>\n <li>Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.</li>\n <li>Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.</li>\n <li>Retail pharmacy experience perferred.</li>\n <li>Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisiana.</li>\n <li>Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.</li>\n <li>A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.</li>\n <li>Computer experience mandatory.
