The position is responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. In this role, you will help sustain Mennel&rsquo;s tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PRIMARY WORK SHIFT:</strong> Works shift as assigned and overtime as available.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.&nbsp;</em></p><ul><li>Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP&rsquo;s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&amp;Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety &amp; Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Identify mechanical problems by inspecting vehicle and mechanical/electrical components.</li><li>Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.</li><li>Test parts and systems to ensure that vehicles are working properly.</li><li>Use equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.</li><li>Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.</li><li>Keep logs on work and issues.</li><li>Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>This position has no supervisory duties.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: &nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job</em><em>.&nbsp;</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate&rsquo;s Degree and ASE Certification is preferred.</li><li>Two years of related work experience preferred.</li><li>A Class A CDL is preferred for those applicants wishing to pursue employment as a heavy truck technician after 90 days of employment.</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.</li></ul><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</strong></p><p>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;read&nbsp;and&nbsp;comprehend&nbsp;simple&nbsp;instructions,&nbsp;short&nbsp;correspondence,&nbsp;memos,&nbsp;procedures,&nbsp;and&nbsp;plans.&nbsp;Ability&nbsp;to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in&nbsp;one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong>: &nbsp;</p><p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong></p><p>Must use solid judgment when making decisions.
