This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and performance.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><h4><strong>1. Financial Reporting &amp; Month-End Close</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all operating entities.</p></li><li><p>Manage the full-cycle month-end and year-end close process, including all reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.</p></li><li><p>Generate and present timely profit &amp; loss reports, balance sheets, and variance analyses to executive leadership.</p></li><li><p>Consolidate financial data across multiple business units, including restaurants, hotels, and real estate holdings.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>2. Budgeting, Forecasting &amp; Strategic Analysis</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments and entities.</p></li><li><p>Develop rolling forecasts and cash flow projections to support financial planning.</p></li><li><p>Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable insights to department heads.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with ownership and operations to evaluate new business opportunities and model investment returns.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>3. Accounting Operations &amp; Internal Controls</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and enforce internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.</p></li><li><p>Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>4. Payroll &amp; Vendor Management</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Coordinate with HR and third-party payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.</p></li><li><p>Oversee vendor onboarding, contract compliance, and payment terms.</p></li><li><p>Manage vendor and contractor relationships in coordination with operations and procurement teams.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>5. Tax Compliance &amp; External Reporting</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Prepare or support the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings in partnership with external CPAs.</p></li><li><p>Ensure timely filing of sales tax, franchise tax, and other required reports.</p></li><li><p>Assist in audits, financial reviews, and other reporting requirements as needed.</p></li><li><p>Maintain compliance with evolving tax regulations and licensing requirements for hospitality businesses.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>6. Systems &amp; Technology</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Manage and optimize accounting software for accuracy, reporting, and scalability.</p></li><li><p>Support the integration of new systems across the company (POS, inventory, HRIS) to ensure seamless financial tracking.</p></li><li><p>Leverage Excel and other tools to create dashboards, models, and real-time reporting for leadership.</p></li></ul><h4><strong>7. Leadership &amp; Team Collaboration</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Work directly with the executive team to support strategic decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Act as a financial advisor to brand leaders, GMs, and department heads across the portfolio.</p></li><li><p>Support and potentially manage junior accounting staff as the department grows.</p></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).</p></li><li><p>5+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience, ideally in hospitality, multi-unit operations, or real estate.</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and multi-entity accounting.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical mindset with a high level of integrity and accountability.</p></li></ul>",
