We contract with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.   </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter for future openings at Phillips66.  The base annual rate is $69,532.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain Wood River Refinery Safety Training through HASC annually.</li>\n <li>Maintain EMT license and CPR/AED to keep current and renewed as needed.</li>\n <li>Day-to-day operations and maintenance of fire station(s) and the apparatus and personnel assigned to that station.</li>\n <li>Member of emergency response team and responds to all emergency scenes with designated apparatus including fires, EMS, hazmat, technical rescue incidents.</li>\n <li>Maintain and safely operate apparatus, tools and equipment.</li>\n <li>Operate fire apparatus pump to supply water to emergency scene.</li>\n <li>Maintain and operates radio and phone communication with fellow firefighters and captain.</li>\n <li>Responsible to always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n <li>Follows directions and orders given by supervisor or incident command staff.</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness and order in fire station, apparatus, service vehicles and offices.</li>\n <li>Communicate any deficiencies, safety concerns, incidents to their shift Captain in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Complete any required reports on the same shift of occurrence.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of location or access to all standard operating procedures, policies, employee handbook, etc.</li>\n <li>Participate in required trainings delivered while on shift. May be required to attend trainings off-shift.</li>\n <li>Complete all assigned tasks provided by supervisor.</li>\n <li>Understand and follow chain-of-command.</li>\n <li>Complete pickup and delivery of product samples to the proper location, using care and safety measures to protect samples from damage or leaks.</li>\n <li>Complete all assigned Apparatus, Vehicle, and Equipment Inventories & Inspections.</li>\n <li>Complete and stay current on certifications to operate forklifts, scissor lifts.</li>\n <li>Conduct contractor drug/alcohol screening when needed.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understands boat and river safety.</li>\n <li>Conduct all Inspections required by client up to and including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Fire Extinguishers</li>\n   <li>Smoke Detection & Alarm systems</li>\n   <li>AED Inspections</li>\n   <li>Emergency Lights and GFCIs</li>\n   <li>Firewater System Inspections (fire hydrants, block valves, fire monitors, hydrant monitors, mini-manifolds, large diameter manifolds)</li>\n   <li>Fire Protection Systems (fire pumps, sprinklers, deluge, clean agent, standpipes)</li>\n   <li>Fire Apparatus & Vehicle Inspections</li>\n   <li>SCBA Inspections</li>\n   <li>PPE, Firefighter turnout gear, rope rescue gear</li>\n   <li>Tank Foam Chamber Inspections</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum age requirement of 18 years or older</li>\n <li>Must possess High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Must possess valid Driver’s License and able to obtain Illinois Class B Non-CDL driver’s license or equivalent within 90 days of hire</li>\n <li>Must possess National or Illinois EMT License</li>\n <li>Must possess current CPR/AED certification</li>\n <li>Must have completion or certification through an accredited college, State Academy, IFSAC, or Pro Board of the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Firefighter II (IL OSFM), OR</li>\n  <li>Basic Operations Firefighter Certification, OR</li>\n  <li>Industrial Fire Brigade Member (NFPA 1081), within (1) one year of hire</li>\n  <li>Hazardous Materials Operations (OSHA, 29 CFR 1910.120)</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Must have completion of NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, 800</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1 year of experience in firefighting and/or EMS</li>\n <li>Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check</li>\n <li>Expected to obtain within one year of hire date:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>DISA Drug Test Collector Certification</li>\n  <li>Lifeloc Breath Alcohol Technician Certification</li>\n  <li>Forklift, scissor lift, and other lift Certification</li>\n  <li>Rope Rescue Operations</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Opportunities for Career Advancement</li>\n <li>Competitive Wages</li>\n <li>Ability to Receive on Demand Pay Before Pay Day</li>\n <li>401(k) with Company Contribution</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Insurance (short-term disability, critical illness, accidental & legal)</li>\n <li>Company Paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation & Sick Time</li>\n <li>Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>Company Provided Training<strong> </strong></li>\n <li>Referral Bonus Available </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary or Wage Range</h2>USD $28.45 - USD $28.45 /Hr.",
