Employees at ATCO are offered endless variety. We are entrepreneurial with a large degree of autonomy and freedom, experiencing new situations and learning opportunities every day. Internal advancement is commonplace, and we are always supported in our career journey. We believe in creating a workplace where you can thrive professionally while contributing to something greater and serving our communities.
About the Role:
We are seeking Vendor Managers to support various business spend categories including construction, engineering and technical services, electrical equipment, PVF and midstream equipment, IT and technology, professional and contingent workforce, facilities and real estate, as well as fleet and logistics. What You Get to Do:
• Lead ongoing vendor management by applying and continuously improving ATCO’s vendor management framework, ensuring vendors are integrated effectively into operations and aligned with business objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships and serve as a key escalation point, facilitating clear communication, resolving issues, and fostering trust-based partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor vendor performance through KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, scorecards, and governance meetings, using insights to drive accountability, address gaps, and support continuous improvement.
• Oversee vendor engagements to optimize service, cost, and value, while tracking contract outcomes, supporting renewals and amendments, and ensuring decisions align with organizational priorities.
• Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks affecting business continuity, compliance, or financial performance, working with legal, contract operations, sourcing, and category management as needed.
• Establish and maintain effective vendor management processes, tools, documentation, and guidelines, and support the business through training, reporting, audits, and governance reviews.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across vendor relationships to enhance performance, strengthen collaboration, and support shared success.
What You Bring:
• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Law or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in one or multiple spend categories or supply chain vendor management
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems (Oracle preferred)
• Strong Microsoft suite proficiency
• Capacity to multi-task, prioritize and respond in a timely manner to changing environments.
• Proven skill in cultivating long-term trust with your stakeholders and vendors
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Commitment to maintaining respectful, professional, fair and unbiased vendor treatment and decision-making
• Strength in collaborating cross-functionally across business units
• Adaptable to changing market conditions, procurement or supply chain disruption, new technologies, and evolving business goals
What We Offer:
• A culture based on caring, integrity, agility, collaboration, and striving for excellence
• Competitive compensation
• Flex benefits
• Tuition assistance program
• Training and mentorship programs
• Charitable donation matching
We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
