    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Set Up Technician</strong></p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></p><p>The role of the Injection Mold Setup Technician is under supervision of the manufacturing group leader, tends to and operates injection molding machines, inspects parts, and performs trimming, drilling, or other processing, cleaning, or maintenance operations. Responsible to set molds and first piece runs and inspections. Assists with troubleshooting maintenance of the extrusion and injection machines.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Principle Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintains a clean and organized work area, including daily cleaning and organization of work areas, work tools, and surrounding areas. Assists in the cleaning of equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Identifies 5S opportunities and takes initiative to clean, organize and improve department cleanliness.&nbsp;</li><li>Interprets production schedules to set-up equipment in support of production demand.&nbsp;</li><li>Installs injection molds into molding machines to company procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Sets up injection molding machines to company procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares all auxiliary equipment for production support, including but not limited to drying equipment, debating equipment and packaging requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares raw materials for production support.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports labor and production transactions accurately in ERP system.&nbsp;</li><li>Supports other areas/functions within the department/facility when requested to support production operations.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs equipment start-up and shut down maintenance and troubleshooting operational issues with tooling, machines or auxiliary equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Complies with all organizational, local and federal safety and health regulations&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Qualification Requirements</u></strong></p><p><strong>Credentials/Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent &nbsp;</li><li>2-5 years&rsquo; plastic injection molding operator experience</li><li>Forklift Certification preferred. &nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in successfully setting up and processing injection molding machines required.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)</li><li>Ability to use basic measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, height gauges and comparison charts</li><li>Ability to use basic processing equipment including but not limited to drill presses, deburring tools, and cutting pliers&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Other Requirements&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
