As NASA’s largest engineeringsolutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.</p>\n<p>We have an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Configuration and Data Management Specialist </strong>to join the JETS II Contract with Barrios, a teammate company.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Configuration and Data Management Specialist to support the planning, control, and delivery of technical and administrative documentation across the JETS contract as embedded team members with NASA-JSC. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of key data products.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Configuration and Data Management Specialist </strong>will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain configuration and data management (CM/DM) processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.</li>\n <li>Control revisions and releases of documentation, drawings, software, and product baselines.</li>\n <li>Manage the document lifecycle using configuration control tools and repositories.</li>\n <li>Implement tools and workflows to streamline version control, change tracking, and documentation, reducing manual errors and increasing efficiency.</li>\n <li>Define and enforce data standards for naming, formatting, and metadata to maintain consistency across systems.</li>\n <li>Support configuration audits, change boards, and formal review processes.</li>\n <li>Monitor configuration compliance and data integrity through reporting and audits, resolving issues as needed.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.</li>\n <li>Maintain configuration status accounting and documentation traceability.</li>\n <li>Ensure data packages meet all contractual and organizational delivery requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education/Experience/Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree.</li>\n <li>Previous experience in configuration management, data management, or document control.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with version control, change management, and document management systems.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with tools such as SharePoint, JEDII, Confluence, PLM systems, or document control platforms.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferences:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting technical or engineering projects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of industry CM/DM standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ANSI/EIA-649).</li>\n <li>Ability to coordinate across departments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join Our Team?</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition to exciting career opportunities, we also have:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent personal and professional career growth</li>\n <li>9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), when applicable</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.</li>\n <li>Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.</li>\n <li>Work may involve sitting for extended periods.</li>\n <li>May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.</li>\n <li>Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.</li>\n <li>Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.</li>\n <li>Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)</li>\n <li>Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.</li>\n <li>Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.</li>\n <li>Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.</li>\n <li>This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong><em>Don’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Barrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
