    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Title: &nbsp;</strong>1<sup>st</sup> Shift<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Maintenance Technician (Level 1 and 2)</p><h2>Department:&nbsp;Maintenance</h2><p><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>Albert Lea, MN</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Maintenance Manager</p><p><strong>Status:&nbsp;</strong>Full Time; Exempt</p><p><strong>Wage Range:&nbsp;</strong>$25.00 - $36.00</p><p><strong>Schedule/Attendance</strong>: 1<sup>st</sup> Shift Maintenance works Monday-Friday and starts at 5:00 AM with a varying end time. These hours may vary depending on projects that need to be completed.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>On-Call</strong>: Maintenance Technicians are required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays. On average, a Maintenance Technician can expect to be on-call up to 4-5 times per year.&nbsp;</p><h2>SUMMARY</h2><p>Under the leadership of the Maintenance Manager, the 1<sup>st</sup> Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all physical aspect requirements for equipment and facilities.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>The following essential duties and responsibilities is dependent upon licensing and experience.</p><p>General Maintenance</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Complete routine preventative maintenance including, but not limited to:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Grease, lube, and adjust equipment as necessary</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary</li><li>Submit orders for parts and maintain proper equipment logs</li></ul></li></ul><p>Plumbing</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Install new water lines, gas lines, air lines, and drain lines as needed for moving old or installing new equipment</li><li>Repair water lines, air lines, and drain lines, above and below ground</li><li>Repair sinks, toilets, water softeners, water heaters, dishwasher, and furnaces</li></ul><p>Electrical</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Troubleshoot and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, mixers, printers, processing equipment, etc.</li><li>Replace switches, plugs, cords, outlets, motors, circuit boards, relays, starters, contactors, etc.</li></ul><p>Construction</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Build new walls, remodel doorways, pour cement curbs and floors, repair block walls, patch floors, and repair damaged walls</li><li>Install, repair, and move pallet racking</li></ul><p>Boiler</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate and maintain boilers and feed water systems</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair boiler as needed</li><li>Complete yearly boiler rebuild/inspection. A minimum of 2<sup>nd</sup> Class B team engineer license is required.</li></ul><p>Truck/Trailer Mechanics</p><ul><li>Repair wiring for lighting</li><li>Repair/replace mud flaps, fenders, walls, load locks, air leaks, batteries, and alternators</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical on refrigeration unit</li></ul><p>Cleaning</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Take apart, clean, inspect, and reassemble Urschel blades weekly</li><li>Take apart and clean membrane heaters weekly</li></ul><p>Grounds</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Remove snow from sidewalks, steps, loading docks, and roof as needed</li><li>Salt sidewalks and parking lot as needed</li><li>Paint structures attached to the building and fire point letters as needed</li><li>Plant shrubs as needed</li></ul><p>Perform other duties as assigned</p><p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>The following qualifications are required for both Maintenance Technician Level 1 and 2.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)</li><li>Machine repair experience</li><li>Attention to safety and detail</li><li>Good communication and time management skills</li><li>Ability to lift 50+ pounds</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and/or kneel for extended periods of time</li><li>Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments</li><li>Ability to work at heights or confined spaces</li><li>Ability to work overtime as needed</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>The following preferred qualifications may determine Maintenance Technician Level 1 or 2.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Associates Degree and/or Vocational School</li><li>Facilities maintenance experience</li><li>Ability to pass a respirator exam</li><li>Moderate mathematical experience</li><li>Boiler License (all levels)</li><li>Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) License</li><li>Welding Certification</li><li>HVAC Certification</li><li>Forklift License</li><li>OSHA Safety Certification</li><li>Mechanical systems repair experience (motors, pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes)</li><li>Hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting experience</li><li>Electrical systems knowledge (motors, wiring, and control panels)</li><li>Preventative maintenance experience</li><li>Blueprint and schematic reading experience</li><li>Welding and fabrication skills</li><li>High-speed production equipment experience</li><li>Packaging line experience</li><li>Robotic systems experience</li><li>Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team</li><li>Good communication and time management skills</li></ul></div></div>\n",
