    "description": "<p>The purpose of the position of the Life of Mine Planner is to be responsible for the long term (12 months to LOM) mine planning to maximise profit for the Sugar Zone Mine Site</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Safety </p>\n<p>·         Maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping at all times, safe work, incident/accident reporting &amp; active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.</p>\n<p>·         Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.</p>\n<p>Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Company / Leadership</p>\n<p>·         Display conduct which is aligned with company Core Values, Policies and Procedures.</p>\n<p>Lead by example and actively participate to achieve department and company goals and objectives</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Behaviour / Attitude</p>\n<p>·         Support and follow all lawful instructions/directives from direct supervisor.</p>\n<p>·         Maintain a high level of professionalism and take responsibility for own conduct and behaviour in the workplace.</p>\n<p>Ensure good, clear lines of communication between all stakeholders, including the Site Management team, co-workers and contractors</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Technical &amp; Role</p>\n<p>·         Ensure the life of mine plan for the Sugar Zone Mine and addition ore bodies as they are identified is kept up to date</p>\n<p>·         Keep Deswick model up to date while offsite by communicating with the survey department and other engineering department members</p>\n<p>·         Prepare the optimal budget and LOM physical schedules as per corporate guidance</p>\n<p>·         Regularly produce the most accurate long term schedule for the period beyond the current budget year and present to each mine site within SLR</p>\n<p>·         Design infrastructure and forecast equipment and capital requirements for associated infrastructure</p>\n<p>·         Perform conceptual studies on new ore bodies and/or new areas within SLR</p>\n<p>·         Upon request, identify strategies to optimise mining process with a view to increasing mine production</p>\n<p>·         Monitor the engineering systems and business processes, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods</p>\n<p>·         Coordinate and manage projects within area of accountability, to achieve completion to agreed quality, budget and schedule</p>\n<p>·         Develop project proposals for submission to UG Manager</p>\n<p>·         Ensure the regular review of mine planning processes and investigate, assess and where appropriate, trial new methods or technology</p>\n<p>·         Assist the other engineering team members in the smooth functioning of the engineering department by taking on any additional departmental work that is identified and within your expertise.  Some examples could include preparing summary reports on stope overbreak, assimilating data on geotechnical QA/QC, etc</p>\n<p>Assist with preparation of End of Month reports</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Teamwork</p>\n<p>·         Attend site at the end of each month to complete the 3 month rolling forecast and 1 month plan for the subsequent month</p>\n<p>·         Attend weekly planning meetings while offsite</p>\n<p>Train and coach younger mining professionals at Sugar Zone</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Planning &amp; Organization</p>\n<p>·         Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.</p>\n<p>·         Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues and attend engineering meetings while offsite</p>\n<p>Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed</p>",
