Our HVAC Technicians rotate on call duties throughout the year, on average a tech may only be on call for 4 weeks through a 52 week period. CBS provides all service trucks to ensure you have a reliable source of travel for your position. As an HVAC Technician, you will be involved in three main areas - supporting installation projects, supporting preventative maintenance work plans, and responding to calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Hours Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Salary $30-$52 depending on experience and license. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location</strong>: Washington DC</p>\n<p><strong>Hours</strong>: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)</p>\n<p><strong>Salary</strong>: $30 - $52</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Major Duties to include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating condition</li>\n <li>Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned—VRF diagnosis and repair a plus</li>\n <li>Provide direction and support to sub-contractors when needed</li>\n <li>Interface with building personnel and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction</li>\n <li>Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders</li>\n <li>Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>You Should Have</h2>\n<p><strong>Education Requirement with one of the following</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License Requirement</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State HVAC License Journeyman or Masters preferred, but not required based upon previous experience</li>\n <li>Universal CFC Certification Required</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license with reliable transportation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and Physical Expectations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with HVAC systems</li>\n <li>Strong electrical trouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panels and/or VFD's</li>\n <li>Additionally, you may be asked to speak to your experience with any of the following equipment: CRAC Units, RTU's, Split System AC and HP's, VRF's, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Gas and Oil Fired, AHU's, VAV Systems, Chill Water, Condenser Water, Hot Water Systems and Hi/Low Pressure Steam Systems.</li>\n <li>Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds</li>\n <li>Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet</li>\n</ul>\n<p>EOE, including disability/veterans</p>\n<p>IND123</p>\n<h2>Why You'll Love Working With Us</h2>\n<p><strong>Complete Building Services (CBS)</strong> is a company that is passionate about the operation and maintenance of buildings/facilities in the commercial and government sectors.
