Teacher
Pay: $17.00 per hour (based on experience) Hours: Full-time (Mon - Fri) Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off (PTO), Retirement Plan, and more!
Join our dedicated team at the Early Learning Center and Little Learning Lab at Emory Valley Center in Oak Ridge, TN, where we are committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development and creating a positive learning experience that encourages growth, curiosity, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging classroom activities tailored to the developmental needs of children
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with personal care needs, including diapering, feeding, and toileting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment
- Encourage positive behaviors and social interactions among children
- Document each child's daily experiences, developmental milestones, and progress
- Collaborate with team members and families to support each child's individual needs and growth
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality
