The Renovation Technician repairs and improves residential units, common areas, offices, and other campus spaces, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, doors, hardware, fixtures, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work. The scope of responsibilities is diversified depending upon renovation schedules, resident turnover needs, capital projects, and Facilities department priorities. The Renovation Technician is expected to work independently, protect resident areas, coordinate professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and contractors, and complete quality work in accordance with Glencroft standards. The Renovation Technician will possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons.
