    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Element has an opening for a <strong>Chemist I</strong> position at our extractables and leachables (E&L) testing Center of Excellence in Bend, OR. This position will work in a cGMP-regulated environment under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor in laboratory and office settings. The position will work with a team completing E&L project work using internal methods, protocols and SOPs according to customer specific requirements. This position requires working in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals, providing ideas to improve efficiency and actively contributing to positive co-worker/customer relationships through efficient interaction on current projects. The Chemist I will also contribute to team continuous improvement initiatives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this position, there are many opportunities for developing strong analytical skills in <strong>LC-MS/GC-MS laboratory functions</strong> and for industry advancement. Element Bend is known for focus, expertise, and scientific contributions in the field of E&L testing for the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. At the same time, we foster a casual, flexible, and fun supportive team environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>****ONLY APPLICANTS THAT SUBMIT A COVER LETTER WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE****</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Solution/sample preparation</li>\n <li>Various laboratory support functions</li>\n <li>Assist with advanced analytical instrumentation and data analysis in analytical methodologies such as GC-MS and/or LC-MS as needed</li>\n <li>Effectively perform project tasks under direction of the Lab Supervisor</li>\n <li>Create, revise or review controlled procedures and participate in the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality System</li>\n <li>Promote growth and development within analytical team and greater Element Bend organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field is required</li>\n <li>Some experience in a laboratory setting, with cGMP experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-TK1</p>\n<h2>Diversity Statement</h2>\n<p>At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
