This role is responsible for conducting inspections, documenting deficiencies, and coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams to provide support in the area of mechanical engineering.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply through this site or send resume to [email protected]. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs systems and components that meet the needs and requirements of the project. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs and tests all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Produces outline designs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identifies deficiencies in mechanical processes and develops improvements.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborates with project managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with a design team to create designs, sketches, layouts, and plans.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Builds models and prototypes and tests the design.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Studies test data and make comparisons with similar designs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Methodically conducts experiments, analyzes the data, and interprets results.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Tests and evaluates theoretical designs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identifies, formulates, and produces effective solutions to emerging problems.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluates the overall performance, reliability, and safety of a final product.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Alters and modifies the design to meet requirements and eliminate possible malfunctions.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares reports and documentation.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Confirms system capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains M&J reputation by complying with government regulations.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, renewing certifications, and reviewing professional publications.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer - NY </li>\n <li>Experience  (10 Yr +) in MEP / HVAC and/or Fire Suppression Systems </li>\n <li>MTA experience a plus</li>\n <li>Knowledge in industry Standards and Specifications for different agencies (NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYCDOT etc).</li>\n <li>OSHA 30 Hours certification is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>M&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
