    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Title</strong>: &nbsp;Power Plant Line Maintenance Lead - (2<sup>nd</sup> shift) &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Department:</strong> Power Plant Line Maintenance Building 3 (161)</p><p><strong>Reports To</strong>: Tim Hunter (Line Maintenance Manager)&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>POSITION PURPOSE:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Direct a crew of mechanics to perform day-to-day maintenance on various types of aircraft engines.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;</p><ol><li>Coordinate with the Supervisor for the scheduling and assignment of daily job tasks.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>Lead and direct subordinate crewmembers in the performance of job tasks.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\"><li>Ensure that all identified maintenance discrepancies are documented properly.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"4\"><li>Perform troubleshooting on various types of engines and assist in determining the proper course of maintenance action as needed.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"5\"><li>Make sure all crewmembers are using the proper documentation and MM references.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"6\"><li>Assist crew members with any maintenance tasks given.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"7\"><li>Assist the supervisor in identifying needed training.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"8\"><li>Assist the supervisor with identifying any safety-related issues that may come up.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"9\"><li>Provide OJT to both licensed and non-licensed crewmembers as needed. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong><u>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><ol><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>A&amp;P license is preferred, but a Power Plant license is required.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\"><li>Must have 5 years of experience working on and troubleshooting turbine engines.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"4\"><li>Must hold a valid driver&#39;s license.&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong><u>LANGUAGE SKILLS</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.&nbsp;</p><p>The candidate must be able to work overtime, weekends, and go on road trips within reason.&nbsp;</p><p>Strong troubleshooting skills pertinent to turbine engines.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be willing to obtain a run and taxi certificate for all Kalitta Air aircraft types. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>One must be able to routinely lift 50 plus pounds, climb ladders, bend, twist and climb under engines while in engine stands&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>WORK ENVIRONMENT</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Employee will perform duties in a (n): maintenance setting, hanger setting, outdoor setting, in various weather and temperatures, etc.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>ACCOMODATIONS:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>If you need a reasonable accommodation for the online application process due to a disability, please call (734) 544-7010.
