Overview Instacart’s Canada Brand Partnerships team helps Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) partners grow on our retail media platform by connecting their brands with high-intent shoppers. We’re hiring an Account Manager to join our Canada Account Management group in Toronto (open to remote across Canada) to own and grow a strategic book of CPG advertisers. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives, Ads Operations, Measurement, and Product to maximize advertiser value, deliver measurable performance, and scale impactful programs. You’ll work on complex, data-rich problems at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, collaborate with stakeholders across Instacart and our retailer network, and help shape how leading CPGs win on Instacart. About the Role Own a portfolio of Canadian CPG advertisers, serving as the primary point of contact to drive growth, retention, and long-term partnership value. Plan, launch, and optimize retail media campaigns across Instacart ad products; analyze performance to deliver data-backed recommendations that improve ROAS, incrementality, and category share. Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities, build business cases, and partner with Account Executives on renewals, expansions, and joint business planning. Lead regular performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews with senior client stakeholders, translating complex data into clear narratives and actionable roadmaps. Forecast pipeline and revenue, manage pacing and budgets, and ensure operational excellence in collaboration with Ads Operations, Measurement, and Finance. Advocate for client needs with Product and Engineering by synthesizing feedback and helping pilot new features that improve advertiser outcomes at scale. About You Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in account management or client success within digital advertising, retail media, or e-commerce performance marketing. Proven track record managing a portfolio of advertisers and meeting or exceeding revenue, retention, and performance goals. Hands-on experience running end-to-end campaigns (planning, trafficking coordination, optimization, reporting) and leading QBRs or executive readouts. Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups) and comfort interpreting large data sets to create clear, actionable insights. Effective communicator with experience influencing senior client stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, and analytics teams. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with CPG advertisers and familiarity with retail media networks (e.g., Instacart Ads, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect). Knowledge of performance marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, incrementality) and experimentation methodologies. Exposure to data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and comfort building client-facing dashboards. Working knowledge of SQL for exploratory analysis and performance deep dives. Bilingual English/French and experience supporting Canadian national and regional CPG stakeholders. Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. This role also includes a Sales Incentive Plan. The cash variable incentive target is based on individual sales performance. Payout terms will be based on the Sales incentive Plan for this role. OTE range for this role is listed below and is based on salary and fixed paymix for the role. Sales incentive pay is contingent on performance and paid in accordance with the terms of the applicable Sales Incentive Plan.
