What you’ll do… We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and driven testing technician to perform emissions testing for our natural gas and diesel engine fleet. The successful candidate would have the ability to work independently and with a team in order to accomplish state mandated testing and reporting. The candidate would also be required to perform repairs and troubleshooting on the engines for issues related to the emissions system. Our emissions technicians drive a company vehicle so the candidate would need to display a save driving history and show responsibility when representing the company while driving. Key Responsibilities: Perform emissions testing on natural gas (primary) and diesel (as necessary) engines. Perform basic preventative maintenance on 400 kW gensets. Be proficient utilizing, calibrating, and troubleshooting various emissions testing devices. Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs. Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment. Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems. Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers. Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks. Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks. Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold. Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications. Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards. Work in an outdoor environment throughout the year. Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications. Is familiar with or willing to learn and utilize current technology for communication, documentation, and research used by ERock. Complete environmental procedure reviews to maintain compliance with regulations and accuracy with current practices; develop new environmental procedures to meet the current needs of the power generation equipment. Supports environmental aspects of company operations, such as, compliance, reporting, monitoring, remediation, and environmental permitting functions.
