Description

Job Summary The Nuclear Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with sterile compounding standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. This role supports MicroPharmacy and Uro-Onc facility operations by traveling to new and existing locations to assist with site startups, operational readiness, and process stabilization. The Nuclear Pharmacist provides hands-on training and onboarding support to pharmacy staff, including the pharmacist designated to permanently support each location, while following established workflows and contributing to the development and refinement of best practices and standard operating procedures. The role functions as an individual contributor to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient pharmacy operations. Uro‑Onc Pharmacy A physician‑partnered pharmacy embedded in a urology or oncology doctor’s office to support patient care with specialized radiopharmaceutical services. Micro‑Pharmacy A small, specialized pharmacy that prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals close to the point of care, supporting flexible and scalable operations. Key Accountabilities Provides traveling pharmacist support to Micro Pharmacy and Uro Onc locations to support facility start‑ups, operational readiness, stabilization, and temporary coverage during staffing shortages or increased business needs. Ensures full compliance with all applicable regulations, Company Policies, Corporate Standards, Health and Safety requirements, and quality system expectations related to pharmacy operations. Performs core pharmacist duties in accordance with established workflows, including the preparation, compounding, dispensing, and processing of radiopharmaceutical orders with accuracy and consistency. Executes required quality, safety, and compliance activities to support safe pharmacy operations, including quality control testing, equipment checks, radiation surveys, documentation, and timely completion of required Quality and Compliance training. Identifies, reports, and takes appropriate corrective action on quality, safety, or compliance concerns in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Supports daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts by following established policies, procedures, and standard operating practices. Provides hands‑on training, onboarding, and procedural support to pharmacists and pharmacy staff at new and existing locations to ensure consistent execution of workflows, best practices, and standard operating procedures. Supports the transition and readiness of the pharmacist designated to permanently support each location, ensuring continuity of care, operational stability, and sustained independent operations. Assists with the development, refinement, and standardization of workflows, best practices, and standard operating procedures across Micro Pharmacy and Uro Onc facilities. Maintains operational readiness by supporting inventory management, medical waste processing, reusable supply maintenance, and a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. Education and Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active pharmacist licensure, or eligibility for licensure, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required to support business and operational needs. Willingness to become an authorized user of radioactive materials, as required for the role. Position Requirements: Willingness to work on an on‑call basis, including the ability to arrive at the pharmacy within 45 minutes when required. Ability to accommodate shift changes based on business needs. Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 50–70%) to support start‑ups of new Micro Pharmacy and Uro-Onc locations and to provide temporary operational coverage at existing sites as business needs require. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. No three or more driving violations within the past 36 months and no DWI/DUI conviction within the past 36 months. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to meet customer‑mandated on‑site requirements, including proof of COVID‑19 vaccination, as applicable. Key Capabilities: Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacist (preferred). Experience handling radioactive materials and preparing and/or dispensing sterile compounded pharmaceuticals or radiopharmaceuticals. Experience working in a clean room environment. Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy start‑up and operational qualification, including assessing readiness, training and developing competency in others, and transitioning teams to sustained independent operations beyond routine day‑to‑day pharmacy execution. Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred). Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with coworkers and external customers. Ability to prioritize responsibilities, balance proactive and reactive work, and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy.
