This position will serve as a resource for safety and field personnel alike.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. </em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that all policies, programs, and daily operations comply with local, state, and federal laws and procedures regarding safety.</li>\n<li>Implement and enforce the Tri-City Safety Policy.</li>\n<li>Assist with the management and inventory of job site safety equipment.</li>\n<li>Qualify and help deliver safety and job skill training.</li>\n<li>Assist with identifying job site field training needs.</li>\n<li>Effectively communicate to enhance and encourage overall employee safety awareness and job knowledge.</li>\n<li>Maintain a safety presence in the field and build rapport with the field team, other trades, controlling contractors, and owners.</li>\n<li>Conduct periodic safety inspections and hazard assessments.</li>\n<li>Assign responsibility and deadlines to correct safety issues identified to maintain OSHA compliance.</li>\n<li>Assist with the maintenance of job site OSHA documentation, including SDS chemical lists.</li>\n<li>Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions, practices, and programs on the job site.</li>\n<li>Interact with other contractors to ensure employees are not exposed to various hazards.</li>\n<li>Investigate accidents, near misses, and or/safety violations on the job site to determine trends and assist with the development of procedures to avoid recurrence.</li>\n<li>Document accidents of all trades.</li>\n<li>Respond immediately to any/all OSHA inspections and remain on-site for the duration of the inspectors' visit.</li>\n<li>Serve as a representative of Tri-City to organizations, companies, trades, etc., outside of Tri-City.</li>\n<li>Attend job site safety meetings.</li>\n<li>Keep other personnel up to date regarding conditions, observations, upcoming training, etc.</li>\n<li>Assist Human Resources in gathering on-site OSHA, safety, and workers' compensation investigations and information as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><em>This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. </em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, order of operations) to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders, etc.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes</li>\n<li>OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry)</li>\n<li>1-3 years of direct job site safety experience</li>\n<li>3-5 years of electrical construction experience</li>\n<li>Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bilingual</li>\n<li>Ability to successfully obtain JLA badging for school job sites</li>\n<li>Journeyman Electrical License</li>\n<li>Prior experience as an instructor in either safety or technical topics</li>\n<li>Safety Trained Supervisor in Construction (STSC) or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Office Environment: </span>This position operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Environmental Conditions:</span><br>The work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled setting with minimal exposure to loud noise,
