At Quality Equipment, there are opportunities to grow and advance in your career.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We are currently looking for a <strong>Service Technician - Small Engines/Turf Equipment</strong> to join us in our <strong>New Bern</strong> store.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Performs basic diagnostic and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and machines, focusing on Small Engines and Turf Equipment</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Performs all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Reports any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customer</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Participates in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Accounts for all time and for all materials used in performing work duties&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Reports any issues with shop tools, equipment or vehicles that are in a serviceable condition or are unsafe for use&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; High School Diploma or equivalent experience required</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; 3+ year(s) of experience performing service repairs</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports (repair orders)</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Proficient knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and/or hydraulic systems</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to use personal computer and various types of diagnostic equipment</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with customers</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Valid driver&rsquo;s license required for potential driving situations&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Ability to operate a forklift, preferred</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Must possess set of tools</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Mobility: Squatting, bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, and sitting</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Visual: Working with PC, smart devices, and close detailed work</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Driving: Occasional &ndash; Short and long distances</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate standard tools and office equipment</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&bull; Noise: Medium to High</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Our employees receive competitive wages and can participate in the benefits which currently include medical and dental insurance, flexible spending account, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, a 401(K) program with employer match and a company discount.
