    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Purpose:  </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">To provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the Head Start/Early Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips).  Encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. The Teacher will coordinate and implement curriculum designed to promote Head Start/Early Head Start School Readiness goals for children to facilitate transition into kindergarten</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">.  </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Minimum Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Early Head Start Teacher:  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Required:  High School Diploma or GED and Infant/ Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.  If CDA is not held at the time of hire, it must be obtained within 3 months of hire. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Desired:  Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Development (ECD).  Transcripts are required to validate educational requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Infant/Toddler (ages 0-2) Classroom teaching experience is required, two years is preferred. Experience should include the ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Head Start Teacher: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Required:  Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre K) or a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre K) or an Associate’s Degree or higher that includes coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education. Transcripts are required to validate educational requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Pre-school (ages 3-5) Classroom teaching experience is required, two years is preferred. Experience should include the ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">LANGUAGE SKILLS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong written and verbal communication skills.
