All Knappett personnel must display strong work ethic, a positive attitude, good problem solving skills, and be able to work cohesively and selflessly within in a team environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary - we take great pride in offering our workforce the best benefits and compensation packages in our industry, and we think you will too</li>\n<li>Healthcare and Dental for single, couple or family coverage</li>\n<li>Insurance benefits; long term and life</li>\n<li>Employee assistance program</li>\n<li>Group RRSP – save for retirement – you are eligible after 3 months of work</li>\n<li>Time Off – Everyone needs time away from work to recharge and be with family and friends</li>\n<li>Open door policy in a supportive and encouraging work environment</li>\n<li>Internal Promotions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program.</li>\n<li>Direct field operations in the delivery of projects by adhering to schedules, budgets, safety, and risk.</li>\n<li>Ensure material receiving reports are completed in a timely manner after deliveries.</li>\n<li>Effectively manage field employees by providing guidance and leadership on construction activities and developing effective communication between field and other project staff.</li>\n<li>Develop and execute project work plans aimed at keeping projects on track and on budget.</li>\n<li>Provide senior level presence in the field, coach field staff on issue resolution, review site labour requirements, mentor field staff and perform succession planning.</li>\n<li>Work directly with PM’s to identify changes in work.</li>\n<li>Organize and manage trucking and sub trades on site.</li>\n<li>Interface with the client and other contractors on site.</li>\n<li>Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.</li>\n<li>Communicate with project team regarding Site Instructions, Requests for Information, and Material Submittals.</li>\n<li>Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.</li>\n<li>Coordinate required inspections with local, jurisdictions and/or authorities.</li>\n<li>Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.</li>\n<li>Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.</li>\n<li>Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.</li>\n<li>Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.</li>\n<li>Walk all areas of the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.</li>\n<li>Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.</li>\n<li>Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.</li>\n<li>Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.</li>\n<li>Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.</li>\n<li>To have a complete knowledge and understanding of the General Contract across all division of work.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Requirements:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret civil and foundation drawings.</li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of civil construction procedures, equipment and OH&amp;S guidelines.</li>\n<li>5+ years’ experience in civil construction.</li>\n<li>Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and supervisory skills.</li>\n<li>Positive attitude and works well with others.</li>\n<li>Professional demeanour when dealing with the public, crew, and clients.</li>\n<li>Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year.</li>\n<li>Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more.</li>\n<li>Valid Driver’s License.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand specifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Assets:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recent working experience in similar role</li>\n<li>First aid training</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Foreman is a key member of our project team and is critical to the success of each project under their direction. We want you to succeed and we are prepared to get you there by investing in you.
