    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Parts Technician (Heavy Equipment Shop)</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Sureway</strong> <strong>Construction</strong> is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Local - Work Sureway!</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We offer:</strong> Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, Boot Allowance, and a state of the art shop to work in</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full Time, Permanent</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation</p>\n<p><strong>Essential: </strong>Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong>     </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Personal Reliable Vehicle</li>\n <li>CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Pre-employment:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) </li>\n <li>Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation</li>\n <li>Fitness to Work Assessment </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Parts Technician (Heavy Equipment) </strong><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure orders are filled in a timely manner, using electronic order systems.</li>\n <li>Ensuring cost efficiency when filing orders.</li>\n <li>Research, identify and communicate cost savings.</li>\n <li>Assist with maintaining inventory levels in parts department.</li>\n <li>Assist Field Technicians with part requests.</li>\n <li>Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.</li>\n <li>This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Parts Technician (Heavy Equipment) </strong><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Journeyperson and Apprentices will be considered for this position.</li>\n <li>Individuals with parts experience (not apprentice or journeyperson) will also be considered for this position.</li>\n <li>Prior CAT - SIS experience is considered a strong asset.</li>\n <li>Prior Komatsu experience is beneficial.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Toolhound is considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Hydraulic Hose Assembly is considered an asset.</li>\n <li>GET/Undercarriage knowledge is an asset.</li>\n <li>Prior experience working as a Journeyperson Mechanic or mechanical background is considered a strong asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Sureway Construction Group</strong> is an equal opportunity employer.
