PCTs play a crucial role in the delivery of patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Patient Care:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.</p>\n<p>   - Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.</p>\n<p>   - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.</p>\n<p>   - Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Support for Nursing Staff:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Collaborate with registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to provide comprehensive patient care.</p>\n<p>   - Assist with the setup and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.</p>\n<p>   - Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and well-maintained.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Communication and Documentation:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.</p>\n<p>   - Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing emotional support.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Infection Control:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.</p>\n<p>   - Adhere to hospital policies and guidelines for personal protective equipment (PPE) use.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Safety and Emergency Response:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Be prepared to respond to emergencies and assist in evacuations if necessary.</p>\n<p>   - Promote a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Professional Development:</li>\n</ol>\n<p>   - Stay up to date with the latest CPCT best practices.</p>\n<p>   - Comply with all hospital policies and regulations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- High school diploma or equivalent.</p>\n<p>- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Kansas.</p>\n<p>- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required. If not certified, Minneola Healthcare can assist in obtaining certification.</p>\n<p>- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, empathetic nature.</p>\n<p>- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.</p>\n<p>- Excellent communication and documentation skills.</p>\n<p>- Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Working Conditions:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- Shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.</p>\n<p>- Exposure to infectious diseases and potential physical demands associated with patient care.</p>\n<p>- Availability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Note: The above job description is a general overview and may not encompass all responsibilities and duties of the patient care technician role at Minneola Healthcare.
