Description The New Orleans, LA office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking experienced Civil/Structural Bridge Design Engineers What We’re Looking For At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University Mid-Level positions are available 4-10 years related Bridge Design Experience Ideal candidate will have a valid PE license in the state of Louisiana, or will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license Senior Level positions are available 10 + years related Bridge Design Experience Ideal candidate will have a valid Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Louisiana. What You’ll Do Review and check standard structural design calculations. Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software. Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans. Provide information for design reports. Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence. Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans. Review and check drawings. Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc. Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc. Will take on leadership roles, will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions. Senior Engineers will serve as technical leaders on complex projects. Senior Engineers will be responsible for the delivery of projects Why Join Us?
