Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building codes.</p>\n<h2>Major Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems and components</li>\n <li>Respond to emergency service calls during regular business hours and off-hours</li>\n <li>Works with Getty Engineering, Security, contractors, and inspectors for required LAFD Regulation 4 inspections</li>\n <li>Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, wiring issues, and component failures</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and safety regulations</li>\n <li>Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with local building and safety codes</li>\n <li>Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other technicians, electricians, and safety inspectors</li>\n <li>Upgrade fire alarm systems to meet new technological and safety standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>California driver’s license with less than three DMV points</li>\n <li>Associate's degree in electronic technology or a related field strongly preferred, or training as a journey level low-voltage electrician</li>\n <li>NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent strongly preferred</li>\n <li>5+ years’ experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge of local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations</li>\n <li>Training in electronics and computer networks</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret fire alarm drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications</li>\n <li>Ability to use a computerized work order tracking system and track materials used</li>\n <li>Familiarity with various fire alarm system manufacturers, such as Simplex and Edwards</li>\n <li>Knowledge of smoke control systems and interface with building management systems (BMS)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72)</li>\n <li>Ability to work on ladders and lifts</li>\n <li>Ability to stoop, stand for periods of time, work in tight spaces, and lift 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Notifier, Simplex) a plus</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of fire alarm system programming</li>\n <li>Knowledge of pre-action fire sprinkler systems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits and Perks</h2>\n<p>Here are just some examples that Getty offers/provides for full-time employees:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance coverage, starting on date of hire.
