Description Join our dynamic culinary team as a Banquets Prep Cook, where your passion for food preparation and culinary excellence will shine! Your expertise in food handling, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to creating memorable events that leave a lasting impression. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food industry standards, culinary skills, and a zest for teamwork to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to banquet menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations. Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. Support the culinary team during meal preparation by executing cooking techniques with precision, including knife skills and cooking methods. Organize and set up banquet stations efficiently, ensuring all necessary tools, utensils, and ingredients are ready for service. Collaborate with chefs and catering staff to coordinate meal assembly and presentation for large events or functions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to sanitation standards throughout the shift. Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued. Demonstrated skills in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering setting. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety regulations, and kitchen equipment operation. Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for meal preparation and food safety standards. Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Experience with catering services or serving large groups is a plus. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are preferred. This role offers an engaging environment where your culinary talents can flourish!
