Building atop our existing trading technology stacks you will develop features supporting our best in class Algorithmic and Direct Market Access trading products. We are looking for eager, nimble, and ambitious trading platform developers to join our growing team and drive Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading to achieve and exceed our goals.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Your Impact</b></p>\n<p>As a member of our&nbsp;Platforms team, your focus will be on building and maintaining our order management and exchange connectivity systems. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements from internal/external clients, designing and developing features across our various trading platforms, and deploying your solutions. Our global team interfaces with clients, sales, trading, compliance, legal, and other strat &amp; engineering teams within the firm on a regular basis and plays a critical role in sustaining Goldman Sachs' Electronic Trading business.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, build, and maintain high-performance yet nimble and adaptive trading platforms for internal and external clients.</li>\n <li>Understand US Cash and Options market structure, regulations, exchange service offerings, and implement changes to these on an on-going basis.</li>\n <li>Communication with traders, sales, clients and compliance officers about new feature requests, explanation of existing features, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Basic Qualifications</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in either Java or C++.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design pattern.</li>\n <li>Experience with Linux operating system.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Event Sourcing (Sequenced core stream) based architecture.</li>\n <li>Knowledge about JVM internals and tuning for low-latency.</li>\n <li>Experience with building C++/Java systems with strict requirements for low-latency (microseconds count) and deterministic performance.</li>\n <li>Experience with developing order management and exchange connectivity systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400\">\n Salary Range&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \n <br>\n  The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$180000.
