    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As a Test Engineer at Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will ensure the durability and reliability of Scag products by qualifying new designs and components through lab/field testing and hands-on mechanical work.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with Scag product development team to qualify and verify new Scag products using field and lab testing.</li>\n <li>Work with product cost engineer to test and evaluate alternative components and designs.</li>\n <li>Work with the software/electrical side 10-20% of the time. </li>\n <li>Develop and execute test plans to validate operation and performance of products during the development phase and throughout lifecycle of the product.</li>\n <li>Execute relevant safety testing of products according to specific industry standards (ANSI, OPEI, CPSC, etc.).</li>\n <li>Gather, analyze and interpret field test data using data acquisition hardware/software.</li>\n <li>Summarize and document field test data and lab test results with written reports. </li>\n <li>Maintain database for tracking validation activities and test results.</li>\n <li>Recommend solutions to improve future system and component failures.</li>\n <li>Design, set-up, monitor, and analyze automated lab testing to simulate forces and motions using test parameters from finite element results and actual field test results/measurements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What it takes:</u></strong></p>\n<p>We need an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and can multi-task in a fast paced team environment.  You will need exceptional analytical skills for problem solving, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for strong entry-level to early career candidates with an interest and aptitude for:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical assembly and maintenance, must be familiar with a variety of shop tools (car repair, SAE involvement, machine shop, etc)</li>\n <li>Interest and use of Data Acquisition, PLC’s and electrical systems</li>\n <li>Fluid Power coursework, lab testing, or experience such as agricultural/construction exposure</li>\n <li>CREO or similar CAD software</li>\n <li>Use of various math tools to predict design life, strength of materials, etc</li>\n <li>Attention to detail, orderly work, and disciplined documentation and report writing habits</li>\n <li>Ability to manage and work with other team members, willingness to teach and learn</li>\n <li>Working 85% of the time in a shop environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>PM17</p>",
