    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Description: &nbsp;</strong>Construction Site Supervisor</p><p><strong>Reports to</strong>: &nbsp;VP of Construction</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Goal</strong>: &nbsp;This position will supervise the construction of affordable homes. &nbsp; This individual should be skilled in all aspects of single family and townhouse construction including new construction from vacant lot to C.O. and rehabilitation from existing structure to C.C. &nbsp; This person must possess excellent people skills and be capable and enthusiastic about teaching and working with unskilled volunteers and prospective homeowners in all aspects of residential construction. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong>: &nbsp;</p><ol><li>Education/Formal Training: &nbsp;BS in Construction Management, or equivalent work experience</li><li>Work Experience: &nbsp;5 years&rsquo; experience in townhouse and single-family residence construction</li><li>Aptitudes:<ol><li>Ability to participate in and supervise the construction of townhouses and single-family dwellings;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to supervise and instruct volunteers and sub-contractors;</li><li>Ability to effectively and enthusiastically communicate Habitat&rsquo;s mission;</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, work outside standing for long periods, climb ladders and scaffolding; ability to operate construction tools and equipment</li></ol></li><li>Computer Literacy: &nbsp;Word, Excel, Outlook, Project Management (Primavera, Procore)</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><p>On-site person who oversees the actual work being performed by volunteers and sub-contractors for the specific site. &nbsp;This senior position supervises cluster builds (5+ units) and may also supervise one or more Site Supervisor I associates and/or provide direction and guidance as instructed. &nbsp;<em>Also performs skilled tasks as required to pass inspections and prepare site for volunteer groups.</em></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Opening &amp; Closing job site daily; maintain site security</li><li>Complete the building of the assigned house(s) per approved schedule and budget</li><li>Teaching construction skills to volunteers and prospective homeowners</li><li>Overseeing daily work done by volunteers and paid sub-contractors</li><li>Create a positive learning, rewarding experience for volunteers that accomplishes the task and also encourages further volunteerism</li><li>Maintaining daily sign in (attendance) for volunteers</li><li>Coordinate with Family Services regarding Homeowner volunteer performance</li><li>Scheduling inspections &amp; ensure buildings are ready for inspections</li><li>Meeting Inspectors for Inspections</li><li>Ensuring materials and tools are on the job site</li><li>Receiving and storing deliveries of building materials</li><li>Maintaining daily site log</li><li>Maintaining safety on the job site</li><li>Preparing site for the following work day</li><li>Reporting regular status of work progress on Procore and to your direct supervisor accurately and timely</li><li>Attending Construction Staff Meetings as scheduled</li><li>Project Manager may also participate in any or all of the following activities as assigned:</li><li>Review of building plans with sub-contractors prior to build</li><li>Input and/or supervision for procurement of sub-contractors and materials</li><li>Updating Project Management</li><li>Prepare &ldquo;take-offs&rdquo; for material required</li><li>Coding and tracking invoices against budget</li><li>Performing other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Time Requirements</strong>:</p><p>6:30 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday thru Saturday</p><p>Additional days and hours may be necessary to fulfill role as required by project.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
