    "description": "<p>Duties and responsibilities:</p>\n<p>1. Assist in organizing and promoting international events, such as cultural exchange programs, short-term programs, guest lectures, international and domestic competitions and workshops, and international fairs.<br>2. Support the coordination of incoming and outgoing student exchange programs.<br>3. Help prepare and update informational materials (brochures, presentations, digital content).<br>4. Maintain accurate records and assist with data entry and filing.<br>5. Communicate with international students, partner institutions, and internal departments as needed.<br>6. Perform general office duties, including answering inquiries via phone and email and managing appointments.<br>7. Conduct research on global education trends, scholarships, or potential partner institutions.</p>\n<p><br>Desired qualifications:<br></p>\n<p>a. Strong Communication Skills - Advanced written and verbal skills in English and Korean is preferred (additional languages are a plus).<br>b. Organizational &amp; Administrative Skills - Experience with filing systems, appointment scheduling, and office duties.<br>c. Intercultural Awareness - Interest and ability to interact with to different cultures and global education systems.<br>d. Digital &amp; Design Skills - Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, Canva, Adobe Suite (Familiarity with basic graphic design tools is a plus)<br>e. Research Skills - Ability to conduct online research, contributing to promotional materials</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Work Hours per student:</p>\n<p>Up to 40 hrs/week during the break.</p>\n<p>Up to 15 hrs/week during the semester. </p>\n<p>Seeking 2 student(s). </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Period: </p>\n<p>Jul 1 - Dec 18, 2026 (Updated April 30, 2026)<br>Application deadline: May 8th, 5pm.</p>\n<p><br>Location(s): G102</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Students must meet the following requirements: <br>1) Must have completed at least one semester at Mason Korea and have an official GPA record.<br>2) Be in good academic standing (Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher; or as required by the office).<br>3) Have enrolled as student in current semester at least 6 credits. When working during the break, have completed enrollment in the upcoming semester. <br><br>A note on break housing: <br>•If applicable, selected work study students may apply for break IGC housing starting from May 12, 10am. <br>•UL does not guarantee housing during the summer &amp; winter breaks for the work &amp; study program students who apply for the housing.<br>•Work &amp; Study students can reach out to UL Housing Staff or IGC housing office directly if they would like to receive more information about break housing.<br>•The break housing is usually offered on a first-come, first served bases. Please note that the housing office cannot guarantee availability if all rooms are already occupied.<br>•Work &amp; Student students will follow the same procedure as other students (application period, payment deadline, etc.) if they are planning to apply for break housing at IGC.<br><br>Please let us know your schedule (if confirmed) in advance.
