    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance, the foreman assists in supervising maintenance personnel and overseeing vehicle repair and maintenance activities. Job duties include:</p><ol><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Supervise vehicle repair and maintenance activities.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Assign work to employees using Oracle.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Review work orders for time and material usage.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Monitor employee attendance.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Respond to road calls.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Provide instructions and on-the-job training to mechanics.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Generate and review reports.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Perform administrative duties.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Update and maintain vehicle repair logs.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Oversee vehicle servicing, interior cleaning, and facility repairs.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Inspect the facility to ensure safety and security compliance.</li><li style=\"line-height:107%;\">Performing other duties as required.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><p><strong>Age:</strong></p><p>Must be 21 years of age<span>&nbsp;</span>or older.</p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>Must have at least four (4) years prior experience with diesel/gas maintenance and repair and/or technical training to include diesel engines, bus electrical, suspension and hydraulic systems, DOT regulations, and preventative maintenance, and must have a good work record; supervisory experience is preferred.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Certifications/Licenses:</strong></p><p>Must have or able to obtain a Class A Illinois Commercial Driver's License with airbrake and passenger endorsements within 90 days of being hired.&nbsp;</p><p>Must have DOT certification.</p><p>A/C certification is preferred.</p><p><strong>Proficiencies:</strong></p><p>Must pass the Foreman exam.</p><p>Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to read and follow blueprint, schematics, and maintenance manuals.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.</p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><p>Work is performed in a garage setting with exposure to loud noises and noxious odors, and outdoors with exposure to inclement weather.
