You'll help maintain and improve the streets and infrastructure that keep Rockport moving forward.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do:</span></span></p>\n<p>Help keep our community running smoothly and safely by maintaining and repairing city streets. As a Street Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of a hardworking team dedicated to making everyday travel better for everyone.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patch potholes, seal cracks, and repair road surfaces.</li>\n<li>Paint curbs, crosswalks, and other pavement markings.</li>\n<li>Clean and maintain storm drains and assist with streetlight repairs.</li>\n<li>Trim trees, install traffic control signs, and help with holiday decorations.</li>\n<li>Haul materials and debris and operate light- to medium-duty vehicles and equipment.</li>\n<li>Use a variety of hand and power tools to get the job done safely and effectively.</li>\n<li>Set up barricades and ensure work zones are clearly marked.</li>\n<li>Perform daily maintenance checks on tools and equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Bring to the Team:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong work ethic and a passion for hands-on, outdoor work.</li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of construction safety and maintenance practices.</li>\n<li>Ability to operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and effectively.</li>\n<li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n<li>A willingness to adapt, learn, and support team goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>1–2 years of experience in street maintenance or a similar role.</li>\n<li>Valid Texas driver’s license (or ability to obtain one).</li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic math, follow directions, and work in all weather conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is outdoors in various weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Requires walking, bending, lifting heavy objects, and operating machinery.</li>\n<li>Exposure to noise, dirt, grease, and traffic is common.</li>\n<li>Safety gear like gloves, goggles, and masks must be worn.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Click here for:    <a href=\"https://rockporttx.gov/DocumentCenter/View/17307/PW-ST04---Street-Maintenance-Technician-20241001---KE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">FULL JOB DESCRIPTION</span></a></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
