Description

Description (PT, Seasonal, Mondays and high volume days) Cooks have basic cooking knowledge and have excellent prep skills. Cooks will do everything from flipping burgers and preparing deli sandwiches to serving and washing dishes. They are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean. Qualifications Essential Functions: Station set-up according to resort guidelines, prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Basecamp Manager Restocks all items as needed throughout shift. Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation, and organizational skills; maintains and cleans kitchen equipment and utensils in accordance with resort standards. Assists with cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all other storage areas. Performs additional duties as requested by Lodge Manager at any time. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to stand and/or walk for several hours at a time. Job requires bending, stooping, twisting, lifting arms above the head at times. Competencies Required: Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures. Knowledge of knife safety and skill in handling knives in a safe manner. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as well as during the week when required. Ability to solve problems and take direction. Ability to work in a team environment. Possess a commitment to provide high-quality products and customer service. Possess internal drive and motivation. Ability to work calmly under pressure and create a fun, professional work environment.
