          "text": "<p>By providing us with your information, you agree to become a Bullhorn Reach User, and to our use and disclosure of your information as described by our Privacy Policy.<br /><br />A direct report of the CIO, the Enterprise Architect serves as internal consultant, strategist, and tactician in defining, recommending, and implementing the next generation architecture and infrastructure needed to&nbsp; to support deployment of web-based, interactive, innovative insurance policy administration systems.&nbsp; There will be occasional client facing &amp; industry conference attendance and these items are expected to be fewer than 10 % of time utilization in role.<br /><br />This role for one who is a “pragmatic architect.” Someone who can produce an architecture and IMMEDIATELY implement through engaged leadership. A person who can balance business value with technical purity. This is not an “ivory tower” or “white paper” role.<br /><br />The goals of the role include defining the enterprise architecture of the entire platform ensuring rich insurance functionality while ensuring capacity, resiliency, scalability, security, and flexibility. <br /></p><p>Responsibilities:<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Evaluate and recommend new technologies; architect solutions that meet the organization’s short and long term objectives. This will include, but is not limited to,&nbsp; development of future state architecture recommendation with tools &amp; technologies to instantiate. <br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Partner with the CIO and other key stakeholders in the organization in planning, budgeting, and resourcing for Lab based technology team who will develop the next generation application &amp; underlying infrastructure based upon the architecture<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess infrastructure and environment needs on projects and systems and recommend architectural solutions<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conduct and lead infrastructure design, including logical design, server topology, and environment placement<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Perform infrastructure capacity planning and ensure system environments are adequately scalable for anticipated growth and availability<br /><br /></p>",

          "text": "<p>Requirements<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum of 12+ years of IT experience in an&nbsp; insurance administration or related environment (Group and Individual Life, Health, Annuity and Hybrid products) necessary and 2 years of Senior-level Systems Analyst-related experience<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Expert level technical and domain experience in JEE/J2EE &amp; all associated Java tools, design patterns, technologies etc.<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 4+ years of experience designing, specifying, deploying, supporting and managing complex technology solutions in an insurance environment <br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience in migrating from heterogeneous technology environments to state of the art environments<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficient in installing and administering large scale server environments<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience architecting, designing, and deployment environments for global web-based systems<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience delivering infrastructure solutions in secure environments<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Knowledge of infrastructure security methods, including firewalls, proxies, encryption, PKI, PGP, security zoning, and security appliances required<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven internal and external consultative skills&nbsp; <br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong communication and interpersonal skills<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of staff and business clients, varying language and technical skills<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Demonstrated project management and mentoring competencies<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Presentation and facilitation skills<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong system analytical and troubleshooting skills in distributed secure computing environments<br />•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Some travel required (less than 5 %)<br /><br /><br />This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
