Description

Rate or rates of pay: $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses; $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period; $1,352 per credit for graduate courses. Any future updates to per credit rates of pay will be reflected within the electronic contract. About the Role: The Adjunct Social Work faculty member plays a critical role in delivering high-quality education and training to students pursuing careers in social work. This position involves designing and teaching courses that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing students to address complex social issues effectively. The role requires fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, ethical practice, and cultural competence. The adjunct instructor will collaborate with full-time faculty and contribute to curriculum development, ensuring that course content remains current with evolving social work standards and community needs. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a social worker in the United States. Demonstrated experience in social work practice or related field. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level or equivalent professional training experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Social Work (DSW or PhD) or related field. Experience teaching diverse student populations in an academic setting. Familiarity with online teaching modalities and educational technologies. Active involvement in social work research, community service, or professional organizations. Experience with curriculum development and assessment in social work education. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging course content for graduate social work classes, adhering to the institution's academic standards and curriculum guidelines. Facilitate classroom discussions, assignments, and assessments that promote critical analysis and practical understanding of social work principles and practices. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth and professional development. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress in compliance with institutional policies. Participate in planning meetings and collaborate with faculty to enhance program quality and student outcomes.
