Our client list grows steadily because we understand the importance of developing long-term relationships built on trust, performance, and reliability.  See the Bettis Companies in action <a href=\"https://vimeo.com/327287434\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here</a>.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600; font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold\">Asphalt Mill Operator</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Function:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Mill Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction job site in a safe manner.  The Mill Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines.</li>\n<li>Performing daily maintenance &amp; safety checks.</li>\n<li>Cleaning equipment as required.</li>\n<li>Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.</li>\n<li>Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.</li>\n<li>Upholds acceptable attendance.</li>\n<li>Is a productive team member that supports the team by going and assisting where needed.</li>\n<li><span>Exemplifies our core values Teamwork • Integrity • Commitment.</span></li>\n<li>Complies with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle a great deal of stress over long periods of time. Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Company Safety Policy.</li>\n<li>Other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ascend/descend ladder 8-10 feet to access equipment operating station.</li>\n<li>Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications.</li>\n<li>Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using a scrapper and shovel, periodically the Mill Operator may need to use jack or chipping hammers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>\n<li>Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a \"Negative\" result.</li>\n<li>Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a \"Capable\" result.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Thank you for your interest in applying with one of the Bettis Companies.
