This is your opportunity to spearhead high-impact transportation infrastructure projects, steering multidisciplinary teams through every phase of project delivery while setting new standards for engineering excellence and innovation.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspire and direct Construction Managers, Inspectors, and project staff to deliver outstanding results on complex construction and maintenance contracts.</li>\n <li>Orchestrate and facilitate pivotal project meetings, seamlessly connecting internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.</li>\n <li>Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, critical documentation, and formal communications, ensuring clarity and precision at every step.</li>\n <li>Safeguard the integrity of every project by rigorously enforcing contract requirements for contractors and consultants.</li>\n <li>Make strategic engineering decisions, reviewing and authorizing change orders and supplemental agreements that keep projects on track and within scope.</li>\n <li>Lead the review of construction submittals, perform constructability and biddability assessments, and drive comprehensive cost and schedule analyses.</li>\n <li>Interpret and implement roadway and bridge design plans, specifications, and contracts with authority and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Uphold the highest standards of project quality, ensuring every deliverable meets or exceeds expectations.</li>\n <li>Scrutinize and manage financial processes and documentation to maintain project integrity and transparency.</li>\n <li>Leverage your project management acumen to control costs and proactively avoid or resolve claims.</li>\n <li>Mentor and lead employee teams, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management</li>\n <li>Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License&nbsp;</li>\n <li>10+ years’ experience in transportation infrastructure development and construction industry</li>\n <li>Previous success on DOT projects, including familiarity with DOT Standards &amp; Specifications</li>\n <li>Proficiency in construction administration, including financial oversight, budgeting and scheduling</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills and Abilities</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mastery of construction methods, best practices, and contract administration</li>\n <li>Deep familiarity with VDOT standards and manuals, including Road and Bridge Specifications, Construction Manual, and MUTCD</li>\n <li>Strong foundation in engineering design for roadways, structures, and drainage systems</li>\n <li>Expertise in contract development and project management methodologies</li>\n <li>Advanced skills in cost estimating, reporting, scheduling, and claims mitigation</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of materials, environmental considerations, legal requirements, and safety standards for transportation projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
