This position is based in Clemmons, NC.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Position Overview:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Import & Export Specialist will support Hayward’s Global Transportation and Trade</p>\n<p>Compliance functions, ensuring compliance with international regulations while optimizing</p>\n<p>import and export operations. This role is responsible for export and import documentation,</p>\n<p>import/export compliance activities related to document creation, and coordination with</p>\n<p>internal teams and external partners.</p>\n<p>The Specialist will also play a key role in system migration initiatives, process</p>\n<p>improvements, and cost reduction efforts, working cross-functionally with logistics,</p>\n<p>commodities, international suppliers, IT, freight forwarders, brokers. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares, reviews, and ensures accuracy of import and export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, SLI/SED, etc.)</li>\n <li>Overseas import and export documentation and record retention in accordance with compliance requirements and internal policies.</li>\n <li>Performs tariff classification (HS codes) analysis and country of origin determination</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with export and import regulations and internal procedures · Coordinates and resolve documentation issues to ensure timely and accurate shipment release</li>\n <li>Supports operation freight forwarders, customs brokers, and agents to support daily operations and compliance</li>\n <li>Communicates with Chambers of Commerce and other agencies for certified export documentation when required</li>\n <li>Serves as a point of contact for international customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, when necessary.</li>\n <li>Supports system implementations and interfaces with global management software (e.g., D365 and other platforms)</li>\n <li>Identifies and support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities</li>\n <li>Collaborates with IT and cross-functional teams on process improvements and automation projects D365</li>\n <li>Maintains strong working relationships with global logistics providers and service partners</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned such as Country of Origin, preparation of USMCA certificates.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience in import/export document preparation and other trade compliance supportive documentation</li>\n <li>Knowledge of international trade regulations, export documentation, and compliance requirements</li>\n <li>Familiar with tariff classification and country of origin rules</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholders</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems such as D365 or AS400</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Work Environment:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>While performing the duties of this position, the employee normally works in an office environment but occasionally will be exposed to a warehouse & manufacturing environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-LS1</p>",
