About BHA Community Living: BHA Community Living provides residential support services for individuals with developmental disabilities in safe, structured home environments. Our Shift Supervisors play a critical leadership role in ensuring consistency, dignity, and high-quality care within each home. Through teamwork, accountability, and person-centered practices, we help individuals served build independence, stability, and meaningful daily living skills. Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 total sign-on bonus -- $500 paid after 90 days of employment. Additional $500 paid after 180 days, based on continued employment in good standing Pay Rate: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $20.50 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications. Position Summary: Behavioral Health Allies (BHA) is seeking a dependable and hands-on Shift Supervisor to serve as the on-site lead within our Community Living homes. In this role, you will act as the Program Manager’s extension during your shift, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while ensuring individuals served receive safe, consistent, and high-quality care. Shift Supervisors are responsible for maintaining structure, accountability, and continuity of services throughout the home. This includes modeling expectations, supporting staff performance, ensuring completion of daily tasks and documentation, and actively addressing concerns in real time. You will play a key role in creating a safe, person-centered, and well-run environment grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and trauma-informed practices. What You’ll Do: • Lead the daily operations of a residential home during assigned shifts • Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) • Ensure Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and routines are followed with fidelity • Support individuals served with daily living activities, community engagement, and skill-building opportunities • Administer medications and complete MAR documentation as trained and assigned • Implement ABA-based interventions and behavior support strategies in collaboration with clinical teams • Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-spot feedback and coaching • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation, including shift notes, MARs, logs, and incident reports • Conduct audits of daily checklists, safety tasks, and documentation for accuracy and completion • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment throughout the shift • Respond to behavioral escalations and crises using approved crisis intervention techniques (PCM) • Support staffing coordination, including verifying attendance and addressing call-offs or coverage needs • Assist with transportation of individuals served to appointments and community activities • Communicate shift updates, concerns, and performance issues to the Program Manager • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture within the home • Participate in training, supervision, and required meetings • Uphold organizational policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements at all times What We’re Looking For: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum 6 months of experience in residential or direct support roles required (1 year preferred) • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors required • Prior leadership, mentoring, or informal supervisory experience strongly preferred • Strong understanding of BSPs, ISPs, and person-centered care approaches • Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive in high-pressure or crisis situations • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills • Ability to model professionalism and lead by example • Experience with data collection, documentation, and compliance standards preferred • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques (PCM or equivalent preferred) • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely transport individuals served if required • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and fitness-for-duty requirements • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail • Emotional resilience and ability to maintain regulation in challenging environments Benefits: • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance • 401(k), HSA, and Flexible Spending Account options • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage • OnDemand Pay (access earned wages when needed) • Additional wellness benefits available after 90 days • Paid training and ongoing professional development opportunities
