    "requisitionDescription": "<div><h1 id=\"isPasted\">JOB SUMMARY</h1><p>In coordination with Management, the Shift Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to assigned employees through their daily routines and interacts with customers to make sure they have a satisfactory experience. They act as quality control through the supervision of employees and ensuring the Company and Food Service policies and procedures are maintained. A Shift Supervisor must be able to perform all job functions of the staff they supervise and make decisions to delegate duties and responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.</p><h1>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</h1><ul><li>May be required to address customer concerns</li><li>Follows procedures for the proper storage of leftover food and potentially hazardous food items</li><li>Receives and stores food requisitions and supplies</li><li>Processes phone orders and assists customers</li><li>Assists in catering and special functions</li><li>Assists in maintaining production records per departmental procedures</li><li>Responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the Unit and equipment</li><li>Prepares and pre-portions all food products according to Company specifications and recipes</li><li>Operation of cash register and cash-ups</li><li>Replenishes product as needed to include ice machine, ice cream machine, etc.</li><li>Sweeps and mops work areas as needed</li><li>Reports any equipment and service problems as necessary</li><li>Reports any deficiencies or problems with any food or supplies</li><li>Prepares catering or special event food items as necessary</li><li>Assigns, coordinates, and delegates the work of employees to promote the efficiency of operations</li><li>Ensures that staff is carrying out assignments as directed and per Company and Food Service guidelines&nbsp;</li><li>Provides training to new employees and communicates any new procedures to staff</li><li>Performs tasks necessary to open and/or close the Unit&nbsp;</li><li>Must attend food safety training as scheduled</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><h1>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE &nbsp;</h1><p>High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; previous foodservice industry and customer service experience required.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1>QUALITIES</h1><ul><li>Must be capable of supervising specific areas of the unit in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Ability to lead, both by example and direction</li><li>Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately</li><li>Work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Take initiative, anticipate, prioritize, and follow tasks through to completion</li><li>Successfully operate within deadlines, use creative problem-solving skills, and evaluate and adjust when necessary</li><li>Adhere to Company, Department and State guidelines as directed</li><li>Predictable and reliable attendance</li><li>Use creative problem-solving skills</li><li>Adhere to company, department and State guidelines as directed</li><li>Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately</li><li>Predictable and reliable attendance</li></ul><h1>PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND DEMANDS</h1><p>Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds; constant standing, bending and walking; exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, and congested work areas; exposure to many different food types.</p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of actives, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
